Description

Engaging students in learning activities is one of the most challenging issues facing educators. Even the best teachers will struggle if students are not active participants in the learning process. Research has shown that a student-centered approach to learning has many positive benefits: increased attention and focus, improved motivation, and increased higher-level critical thinking skills. Further, there are many instructional technologies that can promote engagement and active learning in face-to-face, blended, and online environments, and staying up to date on the tools and how to effectively implement them in the learning process can be a monumental task. Join us for a one-day, working conference to hear from top researchers and innovators in the field and explore instructional strategies, technologies, and ideas that can engage students in the classroom and online.
